Sri Aurobindo’s co-worker and collaborator in the development of the integral yoga and the guiding of the sadhana of the disciples was called the Mother. Before coming to stay in Pondicherry, she lived and travelled in France, North Africa and Japan. From an early age she manifested her spiritual power and insight, developing within herself the sadhana that she was later to bring to the many devotees within her aura. Panditji gave a series of talks on the Mother and her teachings and practices during the period from 1990–1991; these insightful talks were gathered together into this book, providing some insight into the question, “Who is the Mother?”
